I have been dissatisfied and downright angry with the US healthcare system for a really long time, and this was exacerbated when I moved from Chicago to Seattle where options and access to world class healthcare was greatly reduced. The silver lining and my saving grace has been stumbling into Zen Attitude and coming into the care of Dr Goesling, who takes a holistic, systematic and empathetic approach to providing me with some of the best care I’ve ever received in my life much less here in Seattle. When it comes to great vs good doctors, a few things come to mind: 1) taking the time to dialogue and really probe before diagnosing 2) having a full picture view vs only focusing on a few areas and 3) remembering your patient’s file, history and journey. All of these things I’ve received from Dr Goesling in spades, not to mention I actually feel CARED for vs being yet another patient. It’s insane how many providers I’ve seen who scrape by with 15 min consultations before pushing me out the door. There’s hope left for the field of medicine and it’s thanks to doctors like her. I cannot recommend her enough for holistic care, gut health and acupuncture. She has, quite simply, improved the quality of my life in spades.
